When I came home, I spent the rest of the day cleaning the lanai thoroughly except for washing the screens. That will have to wait for another day.
Shivani’s texted me saying her plane was coming in before 9. Then she texted me saying there had been a delay and they were coming in after 10 pm. While Sidney, her two-year-old son, was excited to get on the plane, a two-hour sit on the tarmac waiting for some light bulb to be changed soured his mood. For the rest of the 5 hours flying across the Pacific from San Francisco to Kona, he announced, ”No more plane,” repeatedly during the 5-hour flight. Shivani said she agreed with him, as did everyone else on the plane. She wanted to get off too, but that bailing out in the middle of the Pacific probably wasn’t an option.
I picked them up. It took a while for them to come out. Shivani left Sidney with me while she went to get her checked luggage. We got home by 11 pm. I was too hyped to fall asleep right away.
