Additional information from the
respiratory therapist: The purpose of this tube is not increasing his oxygen
intake but decreasing his CO2. This means it will take less work on his part to
blow that stuff out. Of course, he is
also being provided with oxygen.
He said if this didn't work, they
had a more powerful option.
