If I weren’t writing this blog, I wouldn’t know what day it was.

Last night was salsa night on NPR.  I walked down the hallway doing those tight, quick steps.  I could feel my abdomen tighten.  No wonder Hispanic women are so well built. Those moves do wonders for the core muscles. I decided to try and use it when I walked.  When I did it, it reminded me of speed walking.  It’s the same move, except to a salsa beat. Doing the walk that way took me back to making small steps. I could feel the strain in my thigh muscles immediately, back to small, tight steps. Today, I completed 6,300 steps on the first of my three walks for the day.

I sat down to meditate for a half-an-hour for the first time in years.  I used to meditate two hours a day regularly. I stopped when Mike damaged my leg muscle, and I could no longer sit cross-legged. Now I sit in a firm, cushioned chair in one of my three living rooms.  Instead of doing it for an hour twice a day, I started with half an hour once a day.  Hopefully, I can get myself back up to steam.

I received an email from Crista, the yoga studio owner, saying they offered a class online. I may try it.  Even if I listen to the directions, it will do something for my body. In the meantime, I am doing more walking, the 5 Tibetan Rites, and marching on the half ball.

Since everyone is online, I thought of posting my phonemic work on YouTube. I would love to use the same system that Khan Academy uses.  I don’t know if I have the technical knowledge I need to pull it off.

    B. call from Costco asking me if I needed anything.  I realized last night I needed butter. I had about half a pound left, but I would need more if I am confined for a long time.  He said he had a package of butter in his hand right now that was a large block. I bought that home last time; it was challenging to deal with.  B. looked for the butter that comes in prepackaged quarters. He dropped it off at my door. I sprayed it down immediately with rubbing alcohol. I am now the proud owner of four pounds of butter. I popped it into the freezer.

I washed my bed linens and towels. I don’t do much laundry these days with only me in the house. Too bad.

My eyes get tired quickly.  It makes reading and working on the computer harder. I have this problem with the macular of my left eye.  I was supposed to go to Oahu on April 1 to have a visit with the surgeon, but I’ve canceled that.  No getting on planes for me.

I had an irritation at the very back of my mouth on the left side.  I started feeling like a sore throat.  Then I noticed that I felt a wound on my gum on the inside of the last tooth. I had been dealing with those symptoms with hot salt water rinses and frankincense. Then I noticed that I had a large lump a bit forward from there on the bone. I called the dentist. He got back to me almost immediately. He reassured somewhat. I told him I would call him again if it didn’t get better.

I slept well and was up before the alarm went off.  In June, it was light at 5:30, but now, it is not so much.  Being close to ...
