I woke up at 6 despite not having to get up till 8. I got up and walked Elsa, the long walk up the hill to the second fire hydrant.  It was an easy walk, except for her wanting to turn around so we could get home and she could get her breakfast.

I did some work on the blog.  I have been falling behind because of all the ironing. That’s been my priority, emptying out this house of all the stuff I never use.

Judy and Paulette picked me up to go to church.  I was the lector for the first reading this morning.  It felt good doing the reading.

After I got home, I took a two-hour nap. I  hated to get up.  I moved Kingston up to level 3 in the reading. After I was finished with him, I continued with my ironing, got the laundry off the line, and finally did some weeding in the front yard.  The wedding has been bothering me for days, but I never felt up to doing it.  Thought it was just laziness, but as I took on the task, I realized my body hasn’t felt up to lugging that sprayer around. My back did hurt after I had used up one whole container, a gallon of vinegar.  I decided to give up for the day.

When I got back inside, I sat down and played FreeCell.  I got a call from the daughter of a friend, saying that things were terrible.  It took a while before I got the exact cause of the problem.

When dinner rolled around, and I still hadn’t gone out to buy the bagels, cream cheese, onions, and tomatoes to make my salmon tolerable.  I had eggs and salad again tonight.
