I was in doze mode from 3:30 on but had to get up early for my 7 am PT appointment. Terry was willing to use Micromoves again. She was inspired to try a variation. This woman is amazing for me to work with. She also said she was going to try it on a client of hers that had broken her hip,

As I drove home, I remembered to take Palani instead of Queen K to stop at the vet. I ordered more salve for Elsa several days ago. While I planned to pick it up every time I went to town, I had already forgotten twice.

When I got home, I found Elsa had thrown up again. This time on my tile floor instead of the carpet. Yay.

I continued with my cleaning plan. I vacuumed the upholstered furniture on the lanai. A lot of it is sun-faded. It is what it is. It's getting run down and seedy. In The Crown, the home invader described Buckingham Palace to the Queen as seedy as he sat by her bedside. I'm sure the Palace is seedy. How does one throw away a sofa Queen Victoria sat on?

I set about polishing the outside of my stainless-steel refrigerator. All metal rusts here. I have to scrape it off with a Dobie pad.

I had Mama K's crew at 2 pm. The twins wanted to work together. I put the kibosh on that. One is way ahead of the other. I didn't want Twin E, the one with the memory problem, to feel bad, and I didn't want Twin A to provide all the answers.

I worked on remembering the word was with Twin E. We worked on this before. The trick is getting this into her memory and then retrieving it. It is the third week we have worked on remembering that word. After I did some basic BrainManagementSkills drills, I had her read random words in the Sassy the Cat selection from the Carpenter materials. After every four or fifth word, I returned to the word was. She was able to remember it after a distraction. I also met with her after I worked with Twin A. She was still able to remember the word. Let's see if it's there the next time I work with her. There's a good chance I won't see them on Wednesday unless Damon and family cut their visit short to chase the sun. The forecast said a week of clouds and rain. Damon said, "I'm going to Maui where the sun doth shine."

Twin A knocked it out of the park. She still can't read several words in Carpenter's first selection, but she'll get a chance to practice them in the second one. I work on them there.

I continued working on multiplication with third-grade K. I gave him a word problem. Each child in the family receives three pieces of candy. There are five kids. How many candies are there altogether? He didn't have a clue. I made fifteen tally marks. He counted them one at a time. He didn't count correctly. His math strategies are poor. He told me his teacher was doing some multiplication. It took a while to pull the information out of him. When I said 'fact drill,' he didn't know what I was talking about. Yes, he has trouble memorizing the facts. I showed him how to visualize the problem. He seemed to get that. Hopefully, this will work.
